A beautiful carved deep blue sapphire butterfly with a cats eye sheen on the cabochon back.
Dimensions: 0.95cm wing tip to wing tip and 0.9cm from head to tail, 0.38cm wide.
The sapphire has a royal blue sheen which gives the butterfly a depth of colour and a mysterious quality.
Very delicate carving but strong enough to be set in any metal.
The stone is of Madagascan origin.
